Car Accident, Crochet and Homecoming!

It always figures that once I try and start something in my life, LIFE happens! I was in a pretty bad car accident where I was T-Boned on my drivers door, in February. Thankfully, my sons were not in the car and I was by myself- Praise God! I've been going through a lot of physical therapy to get back to normal again, since it screwed up my left side of my body and back/neck. I'm slowly getting there, but their is still a lot of work for me to do. Because I had an extremely bad concussion, I wasn't able to crochet for almost a month, and that was hard to take since that's how I relieve my stress. =(  Of course, its always like clockwork that something will go wrong seriously wrong when your husband is gone to sea, and this one was the worse nightmares I've had!

But, with the bad - comes the good. My husband returned from being underway and we had a nice homecoming. It was nice to be able to be a family again and my boys were so excited to see him again and so was I! We were able to work on the yard and he was able to finish the play set he was busy making before he had to go out.

I've been working very hard in getting more items in my shop and I've been a part of a few auctions, that went really well, too. So I have tried to make something good from all the bad that happened over these months.

My newest project is this amazing Newsboy/Scally hat for my two sons. Unfortunately, the sizing on the pattern wasn't the right sizes for my guys and I'm having to make it in a bigger sizes. But I do have one that finally fits my youngest son. =)  I really do love this hat though. The brim is nice and firm, so you don't have to worry about it flopping in the wind and it keeps its form. I've been wanting to find more boy related patterns and I think this is one that I'm going to be doing more of. If I get a lot of interest on my facebook site, or on here, I will start selling it in my store.
